Music to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Simexco Dak Lak’s establishment
Speaking at the celebration, Simexco Dak Lak General Director Le Duc Huy said that at the time of its establishment in 1993, the company had almost no basic facilities for export, such as: no land, no money, no factories, no people; charter capital is only 500 million dong… but with the solidarity, efforts, striving, creativity, and enterprising of the company’s officials and employees, up to now, Simexco Dak Lak has risen strongly, become a leading enterprise in the Vietnamese coffee industry.
The company has worked with farmers in Dak Lak and the Central Highlands provinces to develop a sustainable coffee industry.
Since 2009, Simexco Dak Lak has cooperated with cooperatives, coffee farmers in Dak Lak, and leading international organisations such as IDH and the World Bank… to help farmers access the right direction. sustainable farming, high-quality coffee processing techniques and processes, responding to climate change, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions with the aim of improving the value of Dak Lak Robusta coffee products and raising high incomes for farmers here.
Up to now, the company’s purchasing and exporting output has reached more than 100,000 tonnes of coffee per year, exporting to 125 countries and territories around the world.
During 30 years of establishment and development, Simexco Dak Lak has generated a total revenue of: 79,786 billion VND, an average of 2,751 billion VND/year; in 2022 alone, it will reach VND 6,481 billion, an increase of 30 times compared to 1994.
Total import-export turnover reached 3,760 billion USD and averaged 129.65 million USD/year; in 2022, it reached 242.87 million USD, 14 times more than in 1994.
Coffee exports reached 2,284,934 tonnes, an average of 78,790 tonnes/year; in 2022, they reached 126,519 tonnes, an increase of 15 times compared to 1994.
Along with coffee, Simexco Dak Lak has been involved in exporting pepper since 2002, reaching 83,298 tonnes, an average of 3,966 tonnes/year; in 2022, it reached 5,856 tonnes, 23 times more than in 2002.
The total contribution to the state budget reached VND 506 billion, an average of VND 17 billion/year. Over the years, the equity capital accumulated at the time of establishment was 542 million dong, up to now, it has increased to over 450 billion dong. The company’s charter capital in 2022 will be 315 billion VND.
In addition to economic development, Simexco Dak Lak also implements sustainable development, balancing social and environmental factors such as: ensuring a good worker’s life in terms of economy, physical and mental; pioneering in implementing many social security programmes, supporting the disadvantaged, poor, ethnic minorities, lonely people; scholarships to school; taking care of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, sister merchants; implementing programmes on gender equality; raising awareness on limiting child labour; providing vocational guidance for high school students returning to agriculture; taking care of and supporting the health of thousands of farmers…
Regarding the environment, having a great and overall impact on the company’s entire supply chain through the ECO-Friendly-Green Transformation criteria, the company has replanted 3.5 million seedlings, planted 2.8 million shade trees, forest canopy trees, and intercropped forest trees into coffee gardens…
In addition, the company also supports the expansion of centralised irrigation pond models, hundreds of models of economical watering solutions, the transition from inorganic to organic fertilisers, sustainable farming, and deflationary production. emissions, circular economy, implementing 7,500ha of sustainable landscapes to reduce emissions…
When it was first established, Simexco Dak Lak mainly engaged in purchasing and exporting coffee, but now it has expanded with five main business segments, including: Simexco Commodities – trading agricultural products and commodities: green coffee , pepper, roasting, fruit, etc., diversified around agricultural products in the Central Highlands, making use of products, connecting the “circular economy”.
Simexco Agri – sustainable agriculture with 80,000 households, digital transformation, green transformation, gradually reducing emissions to zero, collective economic models, applying technology to ensure modern management of farming, traceability, and business analytics

Speaking at the celebration, Standing Deputy Secretary of Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee Pham Minh Tan congratulated and praised the results that Simexco Dak Lak has achieved in 30 years of construction and development.
